Green & climate · for business

The city is heating up.
Trees cool it down.

Every summer, Genoa and cities across Italy break new heat records. The oldest solution is also the most effective: planting trees. We've been doing it since 1880.

The problem

The heat island: when the city becomes an oven.

Asphalt, concrete and dark rooftops soak up the sun all day and release it back at night. The result has a precise name — the urban heat island — and a very real cost: city centres can run as much as 5 °C hotter than the green areas around them, air conditioning works harder, energy bills climb and air quality suffers.

Businesses feel it twice over: in their working spaces — ever hotter yards, warehouses, terraces and offices — and in the environmental responsibility that customers, employees and sustainability reports now expect them to account for.

The good news? Part of the solution doesn't need inventing. It grows.

What a tree does

A climate machine — perfect, silent and beautiful.

Shade, evapotranspiration, absorption of CO₂ and airborne dust: a mature tree works for the environment every day, free of charge, for decades. Average figures documented in the scientific literature.*

~0 kgof CO₂ absorbed on average each year by a mature tree
up to −0 °Ccooler it can feel beneath the canopy, thanks to shade and evapotranspiration
~0 kmof driving offset each year by the CO₂ a single tree absorbs
up to −0%less cooling energy with well-placed trees around buildings

* Indicative figures from urban forestry studies (European Environment Agency, US EPA, scientific literature): they vary with species, age and setting. A tree won't cancel out a company's emissions — but it offsets part of them and improves the microclimate, from day one and more with every year it grows.

We've already done it

From grey rooftop to a wood suspended over Genoa.

This is no rendering: it's a roof garden we created in the centre of Genoa. Where there was once membrane and gravel, olives, oleanders and Mediterranean shrubs now grow — a fragment of maquis that shades, absorbs and cools. Drag the slider to see before and after.

The solutions

The right green for your business.

Four practical ways to bring greenery — and the degrees it shaves off — to where you work. Designed, planted and cared for by a family that has been growing for four generations.

Trees & courtyards

Instant-impact trees for headquarters, car parks and outdoor areas: shade where you need it, temperatures down, and a company entrance that speaks for itself. We choose species suited to the Ligurian climate, plant them and look after them as they grow.

Green roofs & roof gardens

The roof is the hottest surface of any building: greening it turns it into natural insulation, holds back rainwater and gives the city back a piece of landscape. Like the one we created in the heart of Genoa.

Vertical greenery

When there's no room on the ground, you go up: green walls that shield façades from the sun, absorb noise and turn a plain wall into a living mosaic that changes colour with the seasons.

Offices, terraces & CO₂ projects

Greenery for offices and company terraces with regular care — and symbolic projects made real: a tree for every employee, genuinely planted, with photos and figures to tell the story in your sustainability report.

Why it pays

Good for the climate, great for business.

Sustainability you can see

Real trees, with real numbers: surfaces greened, species planted, estimates of CO₂ absorbed. Tangible — and photogenic — material for reports and communications.

People who feel better

Greenery in the office and in shared spaces reduces stress and makes every room more pleasant: you notice it in the air you breathe and in the climate — including the one between colleagues.

Less heat, lower costs

Shade on buildings and green surfaces in place of dark ones: in summer the cooling systems work less hard, and the energy bills show it.

A property worth more

Premises set in greenery are lovelier to work in and stronger on the market: the landscape is the only "installation" that appreciates as it grows.

How we work

From site visit to canopy.

01

Site visit

We come and see your spaces: sun, wind, surfaces, possibilities. The right project grows out of the place, not the catalogue.

02

Design & estimate

Species, quantities, timings and costs — with an honest estimate of what those trees will do for your microclimate and your CO₂.

03

Planting

Plants from our own nursery, planted by experienced staff with the right equipment — even for large specimens.

04

Care over the years

Watering, pruning, check-ups: a tree is an investment that improves with time. Just like us, since 1880.

Let's talk

Tell us about your spaces: we'll propose a project.

A courtyard, a roof, a terrace, the entrance to your headquarters: send us a couple of photos and a couple of lines. We'll reply with concrete ideas, timings and a quote — and if needed, we'll come and take a look in person.
